From a humble beginning in a Milwaukee garage to a thriving, growing absorbent materials company that holds its own against the biggest names in the industry, reaching 40 years is no small feat. Visit our booth to watch a video journey throughout our history, meet our sales and marketing team and chat with current CEO, Tom Sellars and our founder, John Sellars. Got questions? Since the beginning, way back in 1985, Sellars has prioritized products that are both innovative and sustainable. Our “better mousetrap” was the original Hardliner mats—a better way to absorb oil compared to kitty litter, which was used industry-wide. We rode that success by investing in Double Re-Creped (DRC) technology, which utilizes recycled materials in a full line of cleaning and wiping products. Sellars is one of only two manufacturers in the world that have the proprietary core technology to make DRC wipes, wipers and towels possible. This proved Sellars was no one-hit wonder, but a nimble, scrappy, forward-thinking company that could remain a few steps ahead of what was next.

After more than a year of strategic work conducting customer research, evaluating names and creative executions, we will be debuting our freshly rebranded Clean Task® product line of wipers. Formerly known as TOOLBOX®, customers can expect the same trusted performance and quality —only the names and packaging will change. This rebrand makes it easier for customers to quickly and easily identify the right product for their applications in additional markets beyond industrial channels.
- For a Little 80’s-Inspired Fun
When Sellars began in 1985, the world looked a little bit different! As a nod to 40 years, we’re adding some '80s flair to ISSA! For rad, 80s-inspired snacks, giveaways and more, stick around for our in-booth happy hour at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11. Happy hour is a great time to mingle with the team, ask questions and have fun.
